Jaff:  I think it is several fold and includes a good anti-platelet agent most commonly aspirin， lowering LDL cholesterol， likely with a statin， to an LDL below 100 or better closer to 70.  Additionally， tight blood pressure control and avoidance of cigarette smoking.  Together these are the top four medical therapies.
